Sandy 0.1 Alpha Testing

Hello All

We are really happy to annonce 0.1 alpha testing version of Sandy.

At the moment, we need testers for reports sumbit ( bugs, features requests, and others ), with new Ticket on the Trac :

This is an ALPHA for testing only. So there are lot of things/features not implemented yet.

For the moment, you can look, get and enjoy with some examples available here :

Now, we planned one/two week for reports, During this time, we only work on the java comments in 0.1.

0.2 beta will improve efficience, corrects all bugs reported and also add all missing features.

At this time, in 0.2 we have planned to implement those features :

  • full mtasc compilance
  • implements camera object3D following, camera move, camera rotation
  • implements lights
  • implements face specific skin
  • implements missing skinType
  • implements correctly tween
  • implements add/remove group in group
  • implements xml/ase parser ( both as and php system )
  • significative performance enhance

So enjoy, and don’t forget to report bugs :)

    Wahou, it’s too good to be true! A real 3d engine with textures!
    I myself did try to create one when Flash was still at version 7, but with no success as I didn’t have any idea on how to manipulate bitmaps with ActionScript…I quickly browsed the source repository to see how you achieve this: Sandy is actually using new methods available in Flash 8. Well done, keep the good work guys!

    Trés intéressant et prometteur, flash ne propose pas de solution de perspectives sur les bitmaps???? Je regarde de près vos développpements, mais je ne peu voir les démos, j’ai le message
    fichier introuvable.

    Je suis tous avec vous chers développeurs de ce moteur !

    Ca fait longtemps que je cherche à créer un moteur 3D en AS1, mais tout seul c’est dur et trop long, et comme j’ai pas mis à jour mes connaissances en AS2, je suis très limité.
